Douala, Cameroon, 5th November 2020 – UK based award organizing group, Gospel Touch recently announced winners of the 2020 Gospel Touch Music Awards and Cameroonian gospel singer AkuBai received top honours. The Niki Heat Entertainment artist beat out 7 other nominees to win the prestigious Media Choice Award.

“I am very honored to have won this award and want to thank all my fans who voted for me. It is truly special to be the first Cameroonian to win a Gospel Touch Music Award and I give all the praise and glory to Yahweh” said AkuBai. Other winners include Mercy Chinwo, Jekaln Carr, and Chandler Moore amongst others.

This year, AkuBai also participated in an international music collaboration featuring 17 artists from all the continents of world. The song is titled “You are worthy Jesus” and represents the first time the whole universe has sung together in harmony. It is available on YouTube and all digital platforms.

AkuBai has decided to dedicate her Award to the victims of the Kumba Massacre of 24th October 2020. May their gentle souls RIP.

She is also finalizing preparations for the release of her second single later this month.
